Marketing Week will be holding a conference entitled, “Marketing to the Pink Economy” in London on Wednesday 30 April 1997.

The conference will focus on the pink economy’s pioneering influence; looking at how gay trends tend to be picked up by mainstream society. The conference aims to illustrate how advertisers can effectively target the pink economy without alienating other sectors of the market.

Mark Oakley, video product manager, Virgin Our Price, is chairing the event. Seminars include Gay Versus Traditional Media, opportunities for brand support and targeting, Building and Maintaining Loyalty Through Community Involvement and Developing Products for the Gay Consumer.
