The Independent reports today that Maurice Saatchi is believed to have sold the bulk of his 890,000 shares in Saatchi & Saatchi on Wednesday. Over 7 million shares were traded that day as the price dropped 8p. It rallied a little yesterday to close at 140p.
Talks are also said to have begun on his compensation package. Upper and lower estimates are put at £3m and £0.5m. The level of the severance package may effect non-competition clauses.
