Indy media agency MC&C’s CEO and founder, Mike Colling, is stepping back from management of the business to instead work more closely with the agency’s clients.
“The industry has changed almost beyond all recognition since I set up MC&C Media in 2001,” Colling said.
“As a leading independent we continue to generate proven, sustainable and profitable growth for our clients, our partners and the agency. Our accelerating growth over the last four years is a testament to our team and their ability to grow and evolve.”
Managing director Robin Trust will be taking over as CEO, an appointment Colling said he is “delighted” by.
“He has a depth of craft skills, and is well liked and respected by both clients and his team. This is a combination that is rarely found, and I look forward to continuing to work with him as he takes the agency forward.”
Trust joined MC&C in 2013 as business director. In his five years at the company he has also held positions including chief client officer and deputy managing director, before being promoted to managing director last year.
Trust added: “To be offered the opportunity to lead a media agency is without doubt a career highlight, but when that agency is MC&C it is a pleasure as well as a privilege.
“Independent agencies have found their rightful place in the spotlight in the last couple of years and remain a hugely exciting place to work.
“I am incredibly excited about the next chapter of the agency’s story and look forward to continuing to work closely with our remarkable roster of clients in pursuit of their own short and long-term growth.”
Meanwhile, Catherine Wall has been named MC&C’s new chairman.
