MD Movement At Emap

The MD of Emap Elan’s contract publishing division, Emap Elan Enterprises, Steve Newbold, has moved on to a new role within Emap only months after being appointed. Newbold’s change of job comes as a result of another short-lived managing directorship, that Neshat Ahmed at Emap Fashion, who was only promoted into the role a few months ago. Ahmed is now leaving to take a “career break”.

Newbold’s new portfolio will include fashion trade titles Drapers Record and Menswear. Before January Newbold was market development director, overseeing cross-media selling in a position he had held since the creation of Emap Advertising in April last year. At the start of this year he took up his current position at the new contract publishing venture. A replacement has yet to be announced for the Emap Elan Enterprises role.
