Media Trader Launches easyBrief

MediaTel Group’s online trading brand, MediaTrader, has launched a new briefing system allowing media planners and buyers to send multiple briefings to a range of over 8,000 media owners.

The system, called easyBrief, will be made immediately available free of charge to over 80 media buying companies via MediaTel.co.uk and will allow subscribers to brief media owners across consumer, business, regional and national press and online.

The service offers agencies using the MediaTel intelligence database the option of sending a brief to a selected range of media owners. The brief can include a common to all presentation as well as information and comments specific to individual media candidates.

Commercial Manager of MediaTrader, Ralph Simpson, formerly a planner/buyer at Starcom Motive, said: “This is a quick and easy way to brief. I would certainly have used it when I was at Motive, because it saves time, increases the quality and quantity of briefing and keeps a permanent record of each communication. I think it could be particularly useful when working with less high-profile media sectors and those where sales contacts are often changing.”

Users wanting to send briefs to specific sales executives, who are not listed already within the MediaTel contacts database, can make use of the “myrep” feature whereby the MediaTrader team will make sure that each brief reaches the correct agency rep at the right media owner.
