MediaCom restructures to renew focus on creativity

WPP-owned agency MediaCom has undergone a series of staff changes in order to grow its creative, content and partnerships offering.

The former head of MediaCom Beyond Advertising (MBA), Tom Curtis, has been appointed executive creative director, a role newly-created to drive creative-first campaigns for clients.

Meanwhile, Dan Wood and Paul Tremain will jointly take over leadership of MBA, the agency’s in-house specialist content marketing division.

Wood will be responsible for growing partnerships, relationships with media owners and commerciality, while Tremain drives branded content and production. Tremain will also join the agency’s managing partners board.

Additionally, Lindsey Jordan will become head of media creativity, focused on redeveloping MediaCom’s creative process and training.

Commenting on the restructure, Luke Bozeat, COO at MediaCom, said: “We are incredibly proud to announce a new structure at MediaCom that builds on our existing creative talents and strengthens our position in the industry.

“The team continue to work across a broad range of campaigns and will no doubt impress clients and colleagues with their outstanding talent.“

In December, WPP published a strategic review of its global business, with CEO Mark Read announcing a mission to turn the beleaguered holding company into a “creative transformation” business.
