MediaTel Group Sports Quiz: Winner
![]()
This weekend saw the final event of the MediaTel Group Sports Quiz in aid of Whizz-Kidz, and we can announce that the winner is…
Katie Dobson of Starcom Motive.
The final question asked entrants to predict in which minute the first goal would be scored in the FA Cup final. The correct answer was the 38th minute. 9 people were spot on, and incredibly 4 of these were in the top 10.

The nine clairvoyants were: Helen Townrow (Guardian Unlimited), Andy Richmond (Mediaedge:cia), Mark Goodison (News International), Phil Bayles (Norwich Union), Camilla Elder, Katie Dobson and Stewart Easterbrook (all of Starcom Motive), Christopher Collins (The Economist) and Evelyn Noble (DRAMA).
Katie had established a 4 point lead ahead of the final question and having been awarded another 10 points for the final question, managed to consolidate her lead and take first prize. But ALL the first 10 places in the quiz have won prizes.
MediaTel Group will be holding another Sports Quiz later this year, so keep an eye out for further information.
Many thanks to everyone who entered and to all of our sponsors (www.MediaTelGroup.co.uk/sportsquiz/sponsors1.cfm).

We’ve raised over £4,000 from peoples’ generosity. And as this all started with MediaTel Interactive’s Business Manager, Alison Chadwick and her sponsored trip to Everest Base Camp, it’s perfect timing to report that Alison completed the trek last week (“very tough, but so worth it”) and returns home shortly.
Special thanks to Russell Toms of the Tactical Company who, despite not entering the quiz himself, took the quiz to his local pub and raised £226 for Whizz-Kidz.
If you haven’t made a donation to Whizz-Kidz yet, please do…it’s not too late. www.MediaTelGroup.co.uk/SportsQuiz/donate1.cfm
