MediaTel Sports Quiz: Halfway Stage Update

MediaTel Sports Quiz: Halfway Stage Update

Just six people correctly predicted that Newcastle United would feature in the top 3 Premiership places at midnight on 3rd February and one of these optimistically thought that West Ham would also feature!

The struggles of Liverpool means that just 2 people had Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle United occupying the top three places. So well done to Sara Davies and Kofi Acquah (who last week won tickets to see Bon Jovi courtesy of Virgin Radio).

The leading male and female quiz entrants at the halfway stage are Saul Devine of The Motley Fool and Jessica Brown of Norwich Union. As Saul had the higher number of points he had first choice of tickets, and as a native of Manchester and a Manchester United fan he chose to see the Manchester United v Blackburn match, courtesy of ITV. While Jessica will go to see the Chelsea v Fulham match donated by talkSPORT.

The full list of entrants is now available on the Leader Board: www.mediatelgroup.co.uk/sportsquiz/leader1.cfm

Don’t forget the Bonus Question: If you have entered the quiz but haven’t won anything yet, here’s your chance – no sporting nous required just a lucky guess! Predict the highest innings score by ANY team in ANY match during the Cricket World Cup and you could win tickets to see England play South Africa at Lords in August. Send an email to [email protected] by midnight tonight and we’ll announce the winner at the end of the World Cup. This question has no impact on the overall standings of the quiz – it’s a bonus question.
