MediaTrader Continues To Maintain Pole Position In Media Trading Site Contest

MediaTrader, the online media availability service launched by MediaTel just over two months ago (see MediaTel Launches MediaTrader), continues to maintain its position as the leading online media trading site.
Latest media owners to sign up include Chrysalis, Real Media, Ziff-Davis, Stadium Radio, Space Mountain and Bag Media. They join over 40 media owners who are currently posting availability to the site.
In the past week alone over 30 fresh opportunities have been posted by MediaTrader’s launch partners including Carlton, TDI and the Guardian. IPC, which signed up just one month ago (see MediaTrader Signs Up IPC Magazines And Launches WAP Access), has placed both its tx and Connect packages on the site as well as a range of sponsorship packages.
Commenting on the service Simon Hills, group advertisement sales director at IPC said: “MediaTrader provides IPC Media with an effective platform to demonstrate our unique advertising opportunities across IPC tx and IPC Connect. This ease of access to such a large number of our customers will mean we will be looking to include more packages right across IPC Media in the near future.”
David McMurtrie, Real Media marketing and operations director, added: “We have signed up with MediaTrader as it offers an excellent range of benefits to agencies and buying shops as well as promoting Real Media to over 150 agencies and regular users of MediaTrader’s parent site, MediaTel. We are very pleased to be on board.”
MediaTrader, an independent service, is wholly owned by leading media intelligence provider, MediaTel. It provides a one-stop shop for planners and buyers to find interesting opportunities for all types of clients and budgets. The service is free to media agencies and is currently offering media owners free posting.
Ralph Simpson, commercial manager of MediaTrader, adds: “Although there are a number of trading propositions in the marketplace we are quietly confident about MediaTrader and its future. We now have over 45 media owners posting availability on the site and to date over 150 agencies, including all of the top 20 have used the service.”
