MediaTrader, the online media availability service launched by MediaTel just over five weeks ago, has signed up IPC Magazines as its fortieth media owner to commit to adding inventory to the new service.
IPC Magazines joins a wide range of media owners including virtually all the radio sales houses, Carlton, TDI, Pearl & Dean and Taxi Advertising with many more in the pipeline set to join over the next couple of weeks. Since its launch (see MediaTel Launches MediaTrader) MediaTrader has been accessed by more than 150 agencies including all of the top 20 and over 1000 individuals have registered on the site.
In a further enhancement to the service MediaTrader has launched WAP access which enables agency users to view recent offers and respond to the relevant media owner directly.
Ralph Simpson, commercial manager of MediaTrader, comments: “We are very pleased with the strong line-up of media owners who have signed up to MediaTrader in the past few weeks and by the excellent response we have received from media buyers. With our already broad range of opportunities to show users and our instant audience of over 2000 regular MediaTel subscribers, there is no doubt that MediaTrader is shaping up to be the UK’s number one media trading site.
“We are launching WAP access to the site as part of our commitment to providing an immediate, easy-to-use and efficient interface between media buyers and media owners and also in response to the growing needs of agency users.
“MediaTel is committed to making this service work for agencies and owners alike, and we are working closely with its partners to develop MediaTrader in accordance with their evolving needs.”
The MediaTrader service offers bespoke packages, specific promotions, sponsorship and events, as well as short term opportunities. These range from terrestrial TV advertising packages (Carlton) to a series of innovative ambient media (Admedia) and from radio sponsorship (Euro 2000) to student media packages.
