Megaposter Secures Rights To Giant West End Banners

Megaposter has secured the rights to sell advertising on three major giant banner sites in London’s West End.

The sites, which are the only giant banner opportunities currently available in the City of Westminster, are located in Piccadilly Circus, Shaftesbury Avenue and a new project on Charing Cross Road involving a 1,125 square metre banner.

Megaposter is currently seeking a commercial partner for the Charing Cross site, which is still subject to planning permission.

Ian Bohn, sales and marketing director of Megaposter, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to market these prestigious sites. There has been some concern recently over the quality of banners in London and these must rate as the best in the capital.”

He added, “The fact that Westminster showed the confidence in our approach to grant consent for Shaftesbury Avenue, gives us encouragement for our Charing Cross Road project, which I believe can become one of the best banner locations ever.”

Earlier in the year Megaposter secured Apple iMac as the first advertiser to use its giant four-faced Clock Tower site in Brighton, which consists of four giant banners each measuring 18 metres high by 7 metres wide (see Megaposter Secures Apple iMac For Brighton Site).
