MGN / BBC Deal Is A First
The BBC’s deal with Mirror Group Newspapers, under which MGN buys all the merchandising rights to the BBC’s Big Break game is a first for the BBC, according to Adam Richardson, a partner at Leagas Shafron Davis Ayer, MGN’s sponsorship development agency: “This is an interactive game show promotion not a sponsorship deal.”
The deal involves a game card, made available through MGN titles and the Radio Times, enabling readers to play the snooker game in conjunction with the BBC programme.
