Following VNU’s mag.net website audit last month (Newsline 9/4/97), Microsoft (MSN-UK) have registered with ABC //electronic to receive an audit and certification.
MSN-UK’s advertising sales manager, Tom Bowman, said of the move; “We are pleased to be working with ABC //electronic to create honesty in the UK Internet market. Auditing to openly agreed criteria will help this industry mature and should enable advertisers to select their sites with confidence.”
It is unclear at present when the audited figures will be available.
