Middlesbrough FC Launches TV Channel

Middlesbrough Football Club has launched the first of an expected wave of club-dedicated cable channels.

Boro TV, a three way venture between cable-operator Comcast, Visionsport International and the club, launched yesterday and is available to the 45,000 Comcast subscribers in the Teeside franchise area. The channel will be free and provide around six hours of dedicated material each week on Comcast’s ‘community’ channel.

Manchester United is set to launch its MUTV channel in August (subscribers see Man Utd. Channel Prepares For Launch).
