Midland Independent – March Flotation
Midland Independent Newspapers, publisher of the Birmingham Post and Mail and the Coventry Evening Telegraph, is to go ahead with a Stock Exchange Flotation in March. It is likely that between 30 and 40% of the company will be sold. In the six months to June the group made operating profits of £7.8m on turnover of £37.7m.
MIN has delayed going to market because of doubts over the government’s attitude to VAT on newspapers.
