Midland Independent Newspapers has reported its first results since its flotation. The interim results to June 30 show pre-tax profits more than doubling to £4.8m from £1.9m, an increase of 150%. MIN’s titles include the Birmingham Post and Evening Mail, and the Coventry Telegraph. MIN’s shares fell 17p this morning, to 137p, reflectig city caution over the payout of a maiden dividend.
