MindShare Reshuffles Management To Provide One-Stop Shop
MindShare has restructured its senior management, under the hand of MD Simon Rees, in preparation for the next stage of the media company’s evolution. Kevin Razi, previously managing partner, has been promoted to the new post of deputy managing director and will work alongside Rees.
A series of other promotions have been put in place in order to bring MindShare closer to its original proposition of offering a full marketing and communications package.
WPP, MindShare’s parent, said that the media division had generated net new billings of £478 million during 1998 (see WPP Finds Rising Cost Of Network TV Forces Advertisers To Alternative Media). MindShare was created in September 1997 by the merger of the media operations of two WPP agencies, JWT and Ogilvy & Mather (see WPP Buy Buchanan And Create Mindshare). However, the company did not open for business until mid-1998 (see MindShare Opens For Business).
