Mirror Claims November Circulation Success

The Mirror is claiming a victory over its main competitor, the Sun, in the November ABC sales figures which are officially released this Friday.

The Mirror says its sales for November are up by 66,000 year on year, where the Sun‘s have fallen (but only by 0.9%). Mirror Group’s managing director, Roger Eastoe, claims that the figures reflect the success of the company’s Rejuvenation Plan (see Mirror And Sun Both To Launch Ents Guides):

“There were a number of sceptics when we announced the Rejuvenation Plan for the the Mirror but the investment and innovation made in the Mirror have delivered the results and we are forecasting a sales growth of 3.0% for the last quarter of 1998 compared to 1997,” said Eastoe.

The full ABC figures for national newspaper will be released on Friday, and a Round-Up will be available on Newsline shortly afterwards.
