Mirror Group Launches New Sales Initiative

The Mirror Group has this morning announced that it is launching a new sales initiative across all its national and regional papers aimed at ensuring “that the most effective systems and techniques are in operation at Mirror Group sites throughout the UK.”

The sales promotion is being headed by newly-appointed group circulation sales development director, Sharon Douglas. She is to liaise with all other group circulation directors to identify ways in which Mirror Group can build sales. Her first priority will be to focus on ‘big win’ opportunities and agree key targets with regional director, John Allwood.

Alongside this development, Robert Mayne has been promoted to deputy circulation director and will be responsible for building the most cost-effective sales system for the national titles. Mayne is lauded by Mirror circulation sales director, Wally Cowley, as being key to reviving the ‘statistical fortunes of the Mirror Group’.

Cowley says he will be calling particularly on Mayne’s expertise in planning and sales analysis.
