Kelvin MacKenzie, in his new post as head of Mirror TV, is expected to negotiate a deal to acquire the cable station Wire TV. London-based Wire TV suffered last month when it payed £5m to show Lennox Lewis’s next five title fights, only to see him knocked out after three and a half minutes. According to a report in Marketing, this may persuade the owners, Cable Programming Partners 1 and TeleComm Inc. to sell.
