MJ Media Launches With £3m Initial Billings

Martin Jones, former director of CIA Medianetwork, this week launched his own media agency, called MJ Media.

The new outfit will be positioning itself as a specialist in youth and entertainment planning and buying and in all aspects of record company and entertainment advertising. Jones himself has previously worked as a DJ and with a number of record companies.

The outfit has already secured £3m of billing from four clients: publishers Attic Futura; record company Beggars Banquet; and computer games publishers Grolier Interactive and Mindscape International.

MJ Media will be based in the offices of Total Media in Kensington, with the media independent taking a stake in the new agency.
