Mad Men

The popular US drama Mad Men has been confirmed for three more seasons with more ad breaks, which is good news for Sky Atlantic, but what does it mean for advertisers?

11 of the 13 regular-season shows will have two more minutes of ad time per episode (four 30-second ads), which will mean more opportunities for brands but also more clutter.

Mad Men averages around two million viewers per episode and the unit price for a 30-second ad spot is around $25,000 to $30,000.

This is relatively low compared to other US dramas, however, it is thought the programme gets sold as part of an AMC cable package, which potentially includes previous series of Mad Men and a selection of films.
