More Group, the outdoor advertising arm of Clear Channel Communications (see Newsline), is to expand to India. The formation of More Group India is a joint venture between the More Group, Ogilvy & Mather and the Bombay based outdoor company Aaren.
The early focus of the venture will be on India’s top-ten cities, and will develop a national network of back-illuminated 48-sheet and 96-sheet billboards.
Coline McConville, chief operating officer, said: “We are the first international outdoor advertising group to enter this market. I think the potential to attract blue-chip international advertisers to our medium is enormous.”
