Peter Smyth commented on the new appointments: “We have been planning this for some time now. Outdoor advertising has a real opportunity to take market share from other broadcast media in the coming years, even in the face of an economic slowdown. We need to re-focus and re-energise our sales and marketing efforts to ensure that we are in pole position to turn opportunity into reality.”

The More Group was in the headlines earlier on in the year when it was facing a takover bid from French rival Decaux (see Newsline). The Group was eventually bought by was eventually bought by US media company, Clear Channel Communications.
