Moves At The Top
Jacqui Elliot, the advertisement director of Top Sante, the health and beauty magazine, has been promoted to publisher. Elliot has been with the magazine since the beginning and was previously a member of the team that launched the Independent.
…Punch magazine has appointed John Trikett as advertising director. Trikett, a former deputy advertising sales director at the Evening Standard, will be working for Punch on a consultancy basis. He replaces Ian Scott who left the magazine in December.
…Paul Gorter has been appointed advertisment director to Conde Nast Traveller magazine which launches in September. Gorter was previously advertisment director of Time Magazine and most recently world-wide advertisment director of the European newspaper. Having launched the British editions of Time and the European‘s weekly colour section, Gorter is not starting on new ground. Conde Nast Traveller will be targetted at a sophisticated, wealthy jet-setting audience *(Conde Nast To Launch Two Magazines.
…Classic FM has also restructured its sales department. Head of client sales, Garry Perry, has been promoted to head of agency sales and two new sales executives have joined the team. They are Steve Judd from the Media Shop and Billi Robinson from VNU Business Publications. Meanwhile Classic FM has merged its regional sales office with GWR’s in Manchester although Classic FM will maintain a separate sell.
…Fox Kids Network has appointed Martin Hervey as director of sales and marketing. Hervey, previously sales and marketing director at Telecential, will be responsible for getting the channel onto UK cable systems.
…Redwood Publishing has appointed Kate Scally, formerly director of ad sales at National Magazines, to publisher of its M&S Magazine.
