Press reports that Virgin Vodka is to release an ad showing a gay couple kissing on British television for the first time ever have been hotly denied by MTV. Press reports have stated that the ad is to be shown on MTV for three months starting from March.
MTV have today issued a statement denying any knowledge of such an ad being placed on their channel; Boris Katz, Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales said, “MTV would like to stress that we have no record of any booking for advertising space for Virgin Vodka … we have not received or viewed the advertisement in question, and would not even consider broadcasting any advertisement until this fundamental process has been observed.”
