MullenLowe Group UK has poached Mediacom’s Danny Donovan to head up its global planning and buying arm, Mediahub, as UK CEO.
He replaces Dino Myers-Lamptey, who left the business in March.
Donovan has over three decades’ experience in media agencies, and joins Mediahub from MediaCom. He spent close to nine years as part of the rival agency’s senior leadership team, most recently as MD of retail and commerce.
In his new role, he will oversee the UK Mediahub team – which specialises in challenger brands.
“I’ve always been impressed by the way in which Mediahub collaborates with clients, its disruptive energy and creative approach to media,” Donovan said.
“The agency has strong credentials and considerable talent to harness and build on and I can’t wait to get started.”
Donovan will begin his new role from November 1, after which he will report into Jeremy Hine, CEO of MullenLowe Group UK.
Commenting on the appointment, Hine added: “We are delighted that someone of Danny’s calibre is joining the team. Danny has extensive leadership experience and an impressive track record of driving revenue through both growing existing client relationships and securing new business. He also has a wealth of award-winning work to his name and we are very much looking forward to him turning his attention to MullenLowe Mediahub.”
