Muzik Editor Pushes Off

The editor of Muzik, who goes by the name Push, is leaving the title at the end of the week. Push has been with Muzik for the three years since its launch (see Newsline), and a year prior to that.

He told Newsline yesterday: “Four years is a long time, and I just feel that I want to do other things.”

Push has been commissioned by the BBC Omnibus series to write a book on Ecstasy, after which he has various plans in the pipeline involving TV, publishing and internet media.

During its time with Push as editor, Muzik has enjoyed an average circulation of 43,000 and the latest ABC figures saw an increase in its circulation over the period January to June ’98. A replacement editor is yet to be found.
