Nat Mags Could Launch Online Women’s Title

Broadband Cable A new digital magazine aimed at the young women’s market could be in development, if reports in the trade press are correct.

It is understood that the National Magazine Company has been in discussions with Dennis Publishing, who launched online mag Monkey in November (see Dennis Launches New Online Lads Mag), about the new project.

Monkey is emailed to readers each week for free and Dennis says that it has exceeded its target of reaching 250,000 unique users.

Nat Mags currently publishes monthly magazines including Cosmopolitan, Coast, Harpers Bazaar and She.

Last week, IPC’s new women’s weekly, Look hit the streets (see NewsLine Feature: Look, Another Women’s Weekly), whilst Conde Nast is to launch a fashion website aimed at women aged 18-45 on 8 March this year.
