Ladbrokes has confirmed that it is bidding to run the National Lottery in partnership with MAI and NCR.
The consortium, called “Games For Good Causes” will be based in Liverpool if it succeeds.
The Rank Organisation also plans to bid for the National Lottery licence, with finance provided by a consortium of institutional investors.
