National Newspaper August ABC Summary
All of the daily broadsheets except the Independent revealed respectable year on year growth in the March-August ABC figures. While the Daily Telegraph and the Times both increased sales by over 5%, the Independent slumped 5.6% to 257,598. The Sunday Telegraph again saw large growth, with a rise of almost 30% while the FT increased over 6% to 316,879. The Sunday tabloids took a battering, with both the People and the Sunday Mirror falling 6.5% while the other tabloids showed drops of between 2 and 4% year on year.
