The Daily Mail and the Financial Times both enjoyed substantial increases in readership during April, and the Mirror was the only other title to build on its readership in April compared to Nov’97-Apr’98.

The Independent title’s just keep on falling, although the Sunday edition suffered less than its daily version, and the Times and the Sunday Times also continued to experience reductions in readership. The Observer suffered the smallest actual and propotional loss of all the nationals, compared to the same period last year.
