Natmags Contract Publishing Secures BAA Deal

Natmags Contract Publishing is to launch a new magazine for frequent flyers called Emporium.

The magazine, which is due to be released this November, will be published half-yearly and will be linked to airport operator, BAA’s WorldPoints loyalty scheme. November’s launch issue, will contain fashion, beauty, entertainment and Christmas gifts. It will also include information about products available at airport shops.

Terry Mansfield, president of Natmags, commented: “The magazine represents a new opportunity for BAA retail partners and luxury brand owners to reach this tightly targeted ABC1 audience.”

The National Magazine Company launched its contract publishing division last November to offer customer magazines and distribution opportunities via NatMags’ newsstand magazine portfolio (see Natmag Launches Contract Publishers). The company brought in Julian Downing and Carey Sedgwick from Citrus to head the operation.

Rival contract publishing house John Brown Citrus recently re-launched BSkyB’s customer magazine, which according to Sky, has the highest circulation figure of any title in the UK or Ireland (see Sky Relaunches Customer Magazine).
