Neil Fox extends Magic 105.4 contract

Magic Logo Magic 105.4 breakfast DJ Neil Fox has extended his contract with the London station until 2012.

Pete Simmons, Magic 105.4 programme director, said: “We are delighted that Neil has renewed his commitment to Magic. Neil is one of the most recognisable stars on radio, not just across the London area, but right around the UK.

“Neil is highly passionate about London and this extension to his contract tops off a brand new Magic 105.4 schedule, which sees Angie Greaves taking over Drive Time. I am confident these moves will ensure Magic 105.4 continues to dominate the airwaves in 2009.”

The latest RAJAR figures, for Q3 2008, show that Magic 105.4 beat all the other London commercial stations in weekly reach and share of listening.

The station’s reach was around 1.9 million listeners, while its share of listening was a solid 5.8% (see Magic Still Has The Most Listeners In London).

The next RAJAR figures, for Q4 2008, are released on January 29, and NewsLine will be bringing you comprehensive coverage of all the biggest stories.
