Nestlé Teams Up With A Hippo

ITV Network Centre has announced that Nestlé has renewed its sponsorship of the children’s programme Potamus Park. This sees the association running for the third consecutive year. The food and drinks company is to cannily associate its Hippo Fromage Frais with the kids’ show which is shown twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Andy Thompson, deputy head of sponsorship at Carlton says: “We are pleased to continue this long association with Nestlé and its support of Potamus Park … Children are traditionally a difficult audience to engage but the success of the Nestlé/Potamus Park link shows that broadcast sponsorship is an effective way to reach them and their mothers. It is an area in which we are keen to develop further sponsorship opportunities.”

The deal was negotiated by Thompson at Carlton and Andy Jones at Universal McCann on behalf of Nestlé. The series will be broadcast at 3.30pm and began on 6 January 1998.

The Sponsorship database can be accessed by selecting “Sponsorship” from the drop-down box at the top of this page.
