Netflix and YouTube are Must Have Apps for Smart TV Owners

Streaming video apps are the most popular apps for both Smart TV owners and consumers who don’t yet have a Smart TV, according to polls conducted by Harris Interactive.

Polls also revealed the three, top five “must have” apps are Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Instant Video, Facebook and online radio leader Pandor.

The results also suggested three-quarters of non-Smart TV owners are not that familiar or not at all familiar with Smart TV or Internet Connected TV, despite the fact that shipment data suggests that manufacturers are continuing to ship more and more Smart TVs.
