Euromoney Publications Plc has agreed to acquire all the issued share capital of Institutional Investor Inc from ABC Inc, an indirect subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, for $142 million.
The directors of Euromoney believe the two groups will bring together two of the strongest brand names in international financial publishing and should create opportunities for growth.
Institutional Investor Inc publishes Institutional Investor which has two editions, the largest of which serves the US domestic investment and capital markets. The company also publishes news-letters, journals, research and bank data, and organises conferences.
The sale is subject to shareholder approval.
