A new satellite and cable channel is to launch on 1 February. Travel is owned by Landmark Communications, which also operates The Weather Channel and The Travel Channel in the US.
The Travel channel will be dedicated entirely to holiday and travel planning with programmes for every possible taste in travel. As well as featuring programmes from Britain and around the world, there will also be regular travel news, advice and ongoing weather forecasts, and regular business travel updates.
