New Company In Frame For EMAP Titles

A new company set up by two ex-Miller Freeman managing directors is rumoured to be joining the bidding for the EMAP titles which the group this week said it is willing to sell (subscribers see Interest Grows In EMAP Titles).

According to Campaign, Roger Michael and Stan Arnold, who left Miller last year, are understood to be involved. They have also apparently secured financial backing from the City for a possible bid.

EMAP said this week that it was talking to one party in particular and it is believed that the group would rather sell the titles, which include Press Gazette and Media Week, to a non-rival company.
