Future Publishing are to launch another craft magazine in the hope of attracting a more mass market appeal.
Quick & Easy Cross Stitch which is a monthly, goes on sale on September 21 with an introductory cover price of 99p, normal price £2.50. It is aimed to appeal to cross-stitchers at all levels and has adopted the same editorial style as the main-stream women’s weekly titles with reader’s tales, puzzles and competitions as well as the usual designs, tips and the occasional cover- mounted free gift.
At present the market leaders in the craft sector are D.C.Thomson’s Classic Stitches with a latest ABC of 28,374 and another Future Publishing title Needlecraft (67,555 Jul-Dec 94 ABC). Quick & Easy Cross Stitch will be launched with an initial print run of 93,000.
