New Cross Brand Advertising Medium

HelpAd, the new fundraising scheme launched in July by the International Red Cross has announced the creation of “a new advertising medium.” Brands will be able to advertise on the packaging of complementary products, such as breakfast cereal on milk cartons and cold remedies on tissues. Proceeds will go directly to the International Red Cross.

More than 50 international companies and brands have signed up to the initiative, including SmithKline Beecham, Virgin Cola, BT, Tesco, Pizza Hut, DHL and American Express.

John Hooper, Director General of ISBA has joined the board of HelpAd; he said, “I am thrilled to be joining HelpAd at a time when this vitally important project is building up to its public launch in the New Year.”
