New Deputy Chief Executive For Future Network
Specialist consumer magazine and online publisher Future Network has announced the appointment of Colin Morrison to the newly created position of deputy chief executive officer. Morrison will take up his position in January 2001 and his specific responsibilities will include development of the company’s international development and licensing.
He will report to Greg Ingham, chief executive of the group, who commented, “At the start of 1999, Future had businesses in the UK and France. Now, by contrast, we also operate out of the US, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland, with more locations planned – hence this new role.”
Future demonstrated their success in Europe with the announcement today that their Italian division, Future Media Italy, has won the exclusive licence to publish Italy’s official Playstation2 magazine. In July, Sony awarded Future the three-year licence to publish the official UK Playstation2 magazine (see Launches Brief).
