Granada Media Group has announced two key director of programmes appointments; Simon Shaps at Granada Television and Marcus Plantin at LWT. Plantin has been director of programmes at LWT previously but left in 1992 to join the ITV Network Centre as its first Network director. He now returns to the role at LWT replacing Shaps who has been promoted.
Shaps and Plantin will report to Andrea Wonfor and Jules Burns, both joint managing directors of Granada Productions, when they start their new posts today. A director of programming for Yorkshire-Tyne Tees will be announced in the near future.
