New Editors For The Observer
Will Hutton has become the new editor of the Observer and has appointed Paul Webster as Deputy Editor.
Mr Hutton, 45, has been assistant editor of the Guardian since 1995 and replaces Andrew Jaspan. He joined the Guardian in 1990 as Economics Editor following ten years at the BBC as producer and correspondent for programmes including Newsnight, The Money Programme and Financial World Tonight. The appointment was made by the Scott Trust, owners of the Guardian Media Group.
Paul Webster previously worked at the Guardian where he was Home News Editor. He joined the Guardian in 1985 from the Sunday Times Business section.
