London is the biggest winner in the new Establishment Data, delayed figures released today, showing an increase of 0.2 percentage points to 19.64%. The South and South East, which increased its share most in the June 1993 survey has slipped back from 9.58% to 9.44%. Granada which saw its share cut from 11.71% to 11.56% in the last survey, recovers a little ground to a 11.58% share

The survey’s analysis of Cable and Satellite Households by ITV region, shows share of total (net) homes increasing from 14% to 16% (3.1m to 3.6m). Largest percentage gains year on year are shown in two of the smallest regions, Ulster and North Scotland; smallest percentage gains (just 8% and 6% respectively) in the South and in the East.
