The ITC has issued an invitation to apply for a local delivery licence covering the area of West Kent, including Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. A local delivery franchise is the new equivalent of a cable franchise and is the first to be advertised by the ITC.
The deadline for applications is 28th February 1994 at which time the franchise will normally be awarded to the highest bidder.
Encom, majority owned by Bell Canada, are thought to be interested in the franchise.They already hold licences in Dartford and Bexley.
