The ITC has announced it is to invite applications for a local delivery franchise for Southport. The license area is defined as including the local authority of Sefton, West Lancashire, South Ribble, and Chorley, other than those parts of the area covered by the existing Central Lancashire and North Liverpool and Sefton cable franchises. The advertised area comprises about 90,000 homes, but it is for each applicant to decide for which area they want to apply.
