NEW MAGAZINE FOR OLDER MUSIC FANS .

Emap Metro are to launch a new magazine for the older rock fan. Called Mojo, the monthly will be launched on October 15th, and will have a cover price of £2.25.

The magazine is aimed at ABC1 men aged between 25 and 44; more specifically at those who, disillusioned with today’s music remember the music of the 60s and 70s with nostalgia. The editorial will concentrate more on features than on music criticisms; there will be articles on the likes of John Lennon, Bob Dylan and the first issue has a feature on Van Morrison.

Advertising manager is Julian Booth and the editor is Paul Du Noyer, a former editor of Q.

The magazine will be perfect bound, on good quality glossy paper, with members of the design team from Q. There will be an initial print run of 65,000, and an estimated settled circulation of 40,000.
