New Magazine Targets Taxi Passengers

Taxi Promotions UK is backing the launch of a new monthly magazine, called Sherbet, which is aimed at passengers travelling by licensed taxi in London.

The new 64-page monthly, glossy magazine follows the style of Sunday magazine supplements. It is produced by Chameleon Publishing and three trial issues were published in July, August and September.

The magazine will be distributed at major taxi ranks outside the main London rail terminals, and via four of the largest taxi fleets in London. All distribution is between 7am and 10am specifically targeting business people who are regular taxi users.

There will also be additional distribution by ten Sherbet branded taxis whose drivers work only in key areas in London, such as Canary Wharf, the West End, the City, Heathrow and London City Airport.

Several of Taxi Promotions UK’s advertisers have secured space for the forthcoming issue of Sherbet, including: Reebok Sports Club, Conchango, Schools Plus and Spearmint Rhino ‘Gentleman’s Clubs,’ which recently secured a deal placing 200 ad panels on 100 taxis in and around the capital (see Taxi Promotions Gets Fresh With Spearmint Rhino Contract).

London Taxi Promotions recently rebranded as Taxi Promotions in a bid to reflect its increasing national capability (see LTP Rebrands To Reflect National Offering).
