Foote Cone & Belding has announced that it will be setting up a media department in a bid to create a new dimension to its current services. FCB, which set up Optimedia in 1990 to handle media buying and planning, has appointed Rhona Tridgell from the Network to head up the new department. The venture is still in the planning stages though it is believed the relationship between FCB and Optimedia will be unaffected.
